Major sources in Brazil (especially Rio Grande do Sul) and Uruguay, known for large geodes, and significant deposits in Zambia, Canada (Thunder Bay), Russia, and Madagascar, often occurring in volcanic rocks, geodes, or massive veins. Other notable areas include parts of India, Mexico, South Korea, and the United States (Arizona, Texas).
